Getting veneers typically takes two to three appointments. During your first visit, Dr. Tran will evaluate your teeth, discuss your goals, and prepare the tooth surface by removing a thin layer of enamel to ensure a proper fit. Digital scans are taken in place of traditional putty impressions, making the process more comfortable and precise. Once your custom veneers are ready, they are carefully bonded to your teeth and adjusted for a perfect fit.
With proper care, porcelain veneers can last 10 to 15 years or longer. The longevity of your veneers depends on how well you maintain them and whether you avoid habits that place unnecessary stress on the porcelain. Grinding or clenching your teeth, biting your nails, or using your teeth to open packages can shorten their lifespan.
