A comprehensive dental exam at The Smile Lounge covers far more than a quick look at your teeth. Dr. Tran will evaluate your teeth for signs of decay, check your gum health for early indicators of periodontal disease, assess your bite and jaw function, and screen the soft tissues of your mouth for any abnormalities, including signs of oral cancer. Digital x-rays and, when appropriate, 3D imaging are used to give Dr. Tran a complete picture of what is happening beneath the surface, identifying issues that would not be visible during a visual exam alone.
Even with a consistent brushing and flossing routine at home, plaque and tartar accumulate in areas that are difficult to reach on your own. A professional cleaning removes this buildup from all surfaces of the teeth, including along and just below the gumline where gum disease most commonly begins. Your teeth will also be polished to remove surface stains and leave your smile feeling noticeably cleaner. For patients with early signs of gum disease, Dr. Tran may recommend a deeper cleaning treatment to address buildup below the gumline before the condition progresses.

Standard 2D x-rays show a flat image of a three-dimensional space, our 3D imaging fills in what they miss. The Smile Lounge welcomes patients ages 10 and up from Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Rossmoor, Cypress, and the surrounding communities. We offer extended Friday hours and financing through Cherry, CareCredit, and Alphaeon for any treatment needs that arise.
