Having this information on hand allows Dr. Tran to review your history before your exam begins and ensures your appointment stays focused on your care rather than paperwork. If you are unable to gather everything before your visit, do not worry, our team will help fill in any gaps when you arrive.

Your first appointment at The Smile Lounge will typically include a comprehensive dental exam, digital x-rays, and a professional cleaning. Dr. Tran will review your dental and medical history, evaluate your teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissues, and conduct an oral cancer screening as part of every new patient exam. Our digital x-ray technology produces detailed, high-quality images at a lower radiation dose than traditional film x-rays, and for patients who may benefit from additional imaging, our 3D panoramic CT machine provides a full three-dimensional view of your jaw and surrounding structures.
After your exam, Dr. Tran will take time to walk you through his findings, explain anything he noticed, and discuss any recommended treatment before you leave. You will never be handed a treatment plan without a clear explanation of why it is being recommended and what your options are. Our goal for every first visit is simple, you should leave knowing exactly where your oral health stands and feeling good about the practice you chose. Our team will verify your benefits before your appointment and give you a clear estimate of your expected costs so there are no surprises. We submit claims on your behalf and follow up with your carrier as needed. For any costs not covered by insurance, we offer flexible financing through Cherry, CareCredit, and Alphaeon, including 0% interest options through Cherry for qualifying treatment.
